Synopsis
An unexpected tragedy where dozens of stray dogs were poisoned happened in civilized Hong Kong society! A 60-year-old, bad-tempered, and living-alone man, Yam Chun Kai (Lawrence Cheng), is involved in this incident along with Roast Piggy, who used to be a stray dog. Uncle Kai, who hates dogs, looks back on his life after retiring, realizing his failed marriage, and estrangement from his daughter. The hopelessness prompts him to commit suicide. Fortunately, Roast Piggy founds Uncle Kai and leads an animal volunteer, Una Tang (Amy Lo), to rescue him. The spiritual nature and heartwarming actions of Roast Piggy change Uncle Kai's attitude towards stray animals. Uncle Kai becomes friends with Una and join her animal shelter "Warm Home" as volunteer, helping the abandoned animals. Una hopes that Uncle Kai can use this chance to clear the air between him and his daughter Zoie (Fish Liew). Just as Uncle Kai’s life seems to be getting back on track, several dog poisoning incidents occur in the village he lives in...
