This year’s festival dives deep into contemporary Hong Kong life — from gripping true-crime drama and coming-of-age journeys to heartfelt portraits of motherhood and endurance.

Building on the success of our 2024 debut, which connected Australian and Hong Kong audiences through shared stories, the 2025 edition expands in scale and depth. Featuring celebrated directors like Philip Yung and Oliver Chan, plus rising voices like Riley Yip and Robin Lee, the festival celebrates cinema as a bridge of understanding and cultural identity.
