In a desperate bid to regain his attention, she gets entangled with his right-hand man “Clawy” and even flirts with members of a rival triad. Unknowingly, she becomes a pawn in a brutal chain of murders.
Renci Yeung, best known for her breakthrough role in A Guilty Conscience which earned her a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the Hong Kong Film Awards, makes a daring transformation in Behind the Shadows. As the blonde and dangerous Betty, Renci steps deep into the world of crime, seduction, and survival—pushing her acting boundaries to a new level. To portray the Malaysia-raised character, she even studied local dialects and culture to bring authenticity to her role.
